Look at this sad little lipstick..

 

I am stuck in a very hard place right now looking at my dwindling lipstick.  A little background about this lipstick.  I purchased this tube a very long time ago… almost 15 years I would guess.  Yes, this tube is at least 15 years old.  I love love love this color.  It all started when I was in high school goofing around with friends at the grocery store when I decided to be a follower and buy the lipstick that they were buying.. I don’t wear lipstick. I didn’t wear lipstick back then, but I wanted one just like them.  So this is the brand and color that I purchased.  A few years go by and I lose the original lipstick.  I decide, hmmm, I am married, I have kids, I am a mom, I should wear lipstick. (Heaven forbid I wear lipstick because MY FACE NEEDS IT!). So I set out to find the exact lipstick that I had purchased those few years previous… This is it. I found it and have had it since.  Well, as it gets nubbined down, (looks like a nubbin, don’t you think?), I realized this is my FAVORITE color on my face and it may be gone soon.  Since I am not a lipstick addict and I don’t wear it constantly, this tube has lasted for a very long time. Well, I have been looking for this EXACT tube AGAIN.. Guess what? nada, nothing, they don’t make this color anymore.  What am I to do? I am at a loss as to what I am going to wear when this finally bites the dust. Don’t get me wrong, I have tried other brands, colors etc throughout the years but this is by far my favorite. I have tried comparing this one to others at the store and I can’t find anything that comes close. So I am stuck and sad that the time is drawing near when this tube will actually be gone. But hey wait a minute, I think I could make this last another year or two, don’t you think? Look at it, it has at least 2 years of life left considering how much I actually wear it….Maybe, just maybe, I can make it last……
